Irish family cartel targeted in years-long operation

Over recent years, the Irish gardaí (police) have carried out several operations targeting the Kinahan cartel. According to the gardaí, a breakdown of its activities, external from 2015 to 2022 shows that 79 people connected to the cartel were prosecuted and convicted during that period - including 12 on murder-related charges, 23 on attempted murder charges and 17 on drug-trafficking charges.
