Nearly 300 foreign nationals rescued - Nepal Tourism Board

The Nepal Tourism Board says 289 foreign nationals have been rescued since the floods hit earlier in the week. Another 591 are out of communication as of 18:00 local time (13:15 BST), the board adds. "Search, rescue, evacuation and assistance operations are continuing for those who remain stranded, injured or otherwise affected," it says in its latest statement.
