Emmanuel Macron receives briefing during Bordeaux visit

French President Emmanuel Macron has visited the Departmental Fire and Rescue Operational Centre in Bordeaux this afternoon, as wildfires continue to burn in the Gironde region. Interior minister Laurent Nunez also travelled with the president, where they got a briefing from some of those tackling the fires. Pictured with them are Gironde's prefect Sophie Brocas, and Marc Vermeulen, who is departmental director of the region's fire service.
