Chinese state media says barrier lake overflow has stopped

In the last few minutes, Chinese state media has issued a fresh update on the state of the barrier lake. The overflow of water has now stopped, with rescue workers preparing to resume rescue operations. Chinese officials had halted rescue efforts a little under three hours ago due to concerns of new flooding.
