Simon JonesReporting from Dover At lunchtime, the police marched the protesters to the railway station and they have since left the town. The Port of Dover said not just its passengers but the local community had been badly affected. Although demonstrations against illegal immigration are common in Dover - as it’s the place migrants are brought to shore after they are picked up in the Channel - they are usually advertised in advance.
