Approximately 90 US nationals affected by floods, no deaths confirmed

Tom BatemanUS State Department correspondent The BBC understands that as of 08:00 ET (13:00 BST) the US government is aware of approximately 90 US nationals who may be affected by the floods. The government is not aware of the deaths of any US citizens, but three US citizens have been safely rescued in Nepal. The US State Department is providing $500,000 in emergency relief funds and has deployed a disaster response adviser to the region to support recovery efforts.
