Israel says it struck Hezbollah commander in Beirut 'a short while ago'

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) says in a Telegram post it has struck a Hezbollah commander in Beirut "a short while ago". The military says further details will follow. The Lebanese state-run National News Agency is also reporting fresh strikes in Beirut, and towns in southern Lebanon. Earlier, the IDF said it had launched the "biggest strike" against Hezbollah today since the start of its operation last month.
