Scotland requests military help as wildfire burns for 10th day in national park

While the fires continue to burn in France and Spain, another remains alight in Scotland's Cairngorms National Park. The fire broke out last Wednesday south of Nethy Bridge, with more than 100 firefighters and a helicopter battling the blaze. It has since been declared a major incident following a change in the weather, prompting residents to be evacuated. In its latest update, the Scottish government says it is waiting for a response from the UK government regarding a request for military help.
