Number of people evacuated in Spain rises above 60,000reaking

The number of people evacuated in Madrid and the Ávila‎ province has now exceeded 60,000, Spain's Interior Ministry tells the BBC. Madrid's regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso previously described wildfires in the region as the "worst" in its history, with the area facing a "perfect storm" of high temperatures, relentless wind and merging fire fronts.
