'We thought someone was having a BBQ - then the smoke got thicker'

Srosh KhanBBC Newsbeat Maisie and Caleb were on their way to France from London St Pancras station when they got the news alert, telling them about wildfires near their final destination, Bordeaux. “We knew there were fires on our way here, but they’ve spread quickly”, Maisie tells BBC Newsbeat from their holiday rental. The pair, aged 26 and 27 from west London, have now spent the morning watching the movie Shrek inside, after cancelling most of their plans including a visit to a beach nearby.
