Nearly 200,000 people evacuated in France due to wildfiresreaking

Nearly 200,000 people have been evacuated in the south-west of France due to the wildfires, the French Interior Ministry has said. Around 57,000 people were evacuated overnight in Gironde, bringing the total number of evacuees in the region to 167,000. A further 30,000 people have also been evacuated in the Landes region. The total number of people evacuated in France is around 197,000, the ministry adds.
