What is the Tiergarten?

The finale of the parade for Christopher Street Day takes place in front of the Brandenburg gate, which backs onto the Tiergarten park. It is a leafy oasis in central Berlin, larger than London's Hyde Park but smaller than Central Park in New York. But this evening, a vehicle was driven into people gathered in the park, police said.
