Parton's film roles showed her range of talents

Some of her best-known films include 1980's 9 to 5 - co-starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, about three working women who combine to get their revenge on their sexist boss. Parton wrote Nine to Five, to accompany the film, and it was nominated for an Oscar. She was also nominated for three G
